About Nerida
Nerida Gill was honoured by Women in Information and Communication in 2009 as WICked Woman of the Year. She is the creator of Admin Bandit, the only web-based accounting package designed specifically to make keeping the books easy for volunteer treasurers in grass roots community organisations. Admin Bandit is in a growth phase after attracting external investment. Nerida is also a guest writer on Australian Business Women’s Network herBusiness blog and co-author of the e-book “10 Ways the Cloud is Great for Small Business”.
Since incorporating in 2006 Admin Bandit has won over seven awards for the contribution made to the community and business. In 2011, Nerida was inducted as a Life Member of the Canberra Preschool Society for “rendering distinguished and valuable service to preschool education in the Territory”. Being presented with the WICked Woman of the Year award, along with Admin Bandit’s accolades has given Nerida the impetus to expand her speaking and training career.
Nerida is thrilled to be on the Advisory Board of the Multicultural Women’s Advocacy Employability Partnership Project (MEPP) and on the Board of the social enterprise No Sweat Fashions. She is also the Treasurer of Majura Toastmasters club.
Prior to Admin Bandit, in a working life spanning longer than 30 years, Nerida has worked in permanent and contractor, full and part time positions and her own business.
She lives with her wonderful husband and two teenage sons in Canberra and when she isn’t working in or on her business, Nerida loves a glass of sparkle, is involved in her local church, is a voracious reader of historical fiction and an enthusiastic mountain biker.
